LO share: yet to be read

Hello!

Today I pulled out an old Citrus Twist Kits kit out. I already used a bit from it but barely touched it. I decided to see what I can do to use it up.

I took a look at the embellishments and papers to see what story I should tell.  When I saw the library pocket I knew I wanted to make a layout about my reading goals this year.

I found the die cut with the words "the best" and then thought of the title.  "The best adventures have yet to be read."

I found the paper with the map pattern and thought it went perfectly with the theme. I decided to then choose my colors for the layout based on that map. A little Aqua, bring in some tan/ Kraft from the library pocket, orange from the map. After this it came together even better.

I found the geo tag resin embellishment from my stash and had to add it. Perfect on this layout!

I then decided to add wood veneer chevron arrows and some sequins and black ink to tie it all in together.

With the help of a few stamps as extra flat interest pieces.

That's it. I hope you enjoyed this post.
Take care,
Sarah

LO Share: My Goals For 2015

Hello!

This layout idea came from a group on Facebook, nicolejones911.  There are monthly challenges.  For January, the challenge was to make a layout with your goals for 2015. Crafting goals, health, personal life... any goals.

To make this layout I decided to try doing 8.5 x 11 layouts again.  This was the size I did when I first started scrapbooking when I was 12.  I am now 26.

To complete this layout I decided to go with one of my favourite paper lines.  Maggie Homes by Crate Paper.  Hy a beautiful collection!  I also incorporated Dear Lizzy gold foam thickers an bows.  I also added a Project Life card for journaling and some gold sequins.this layout came together rather quickly.

Here is a closer look at the layout.

I also used fabric frames from the Maggie Holmes collection. I love them!

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for stopping by.
Take care,
Sarah
